MARC JACOBS: Launching a Cosmetic Line?!

10 Apr

Hi Beauties…last week was my son’s birthday, so I really didn’t get a chance to catch up on my weekly reading, blogs, entertainment, etc. Well yesterday I discovered some news that made my week. My favorite designer, MARC JACOBS is in talks with cosmetics giant Sephora to launch his own line. Can we say faints, cheers, and she dances across the room!!!!

MARC had his first meeting with Sephora, and shared the following with WWD.com “I see makeup, fragrance — everything, really — as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner — it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.”

Now you guys know how I feel about Marc, from his handbags and clothing to his infamous floral fragrant scents (SN:Dot is coming out in July)this man knows how to make a woman feel and smell good! I can’t wait to see the color range of eyeshadows, lipsticks, maybe even blush… as MJ has the eye of a Color Fairly God when creating his masterpieces. There is no release date at this time, but you better believe that I am going ham like a kid in a candy store when the time comes. I will keep you guys posted with any updates that I come across.

>MAC Future Face

Hi Beauties…

I am truly feeling the range of colors in the MAC Future Face Collection. I would strongly suggest trying out the new shades if you found it difficult in the past to find your match, or if you fall in between two colors. In my situation…I am in between NW43 (which is too light) and NW45 (which is too dark), but the new shades offer NW44 and I am IN LOVE! Not sure what shade is right for you? Durham-Stop by the MAC counter in BELKS/ Streets at Southpoint and ask for Ms. Lee. Raleigh-Stop by the MAC counter in the outpost upstairs Belks/Crabtree Valley Mall, and ask for Regina. Tell them Celeana aka Beauté Mark sent you.

>Ruby Who? Ruby Woo!

5 Mar

>

Hi Beauties,

I have been a the prowl for the perfect matte finished red lipstick, and I FINALLY found it! MAC Ruby Woo is the perfect deep, matte finished shade that I was looking for. The number one rule with makeup is that there are No rules. This is especially true when trying to pick the perfect shade of lipstick. It is extremely hard to find the PERFECT red lipstick without a little trial and error. Red lipsticks are orange based or blue based, and some experts/makeup artist suggest orange base for warmer skin tones/blue for cool skin tones. I disagree…some of  the orange based reds look too orange on me. The Ruby Woo is a blue based lipstick and I ♥ it on me. Here are a few pics/video that I made using Ruby Woo. Try it out and let me know how you like it.

Until Next Time Beauties ♥

**Matte finished lipsticks are VERY drying so use a lip conditioner before applying**
